The colors in this are so natural and pure! The lighting is wonderful and her expression is perfect.

The 50mm prime lense is easily the best for portraits. And you use it damned well, too! Very nice, natural color. The lighting is awesome here too. Again, what strikes me the most is the natural look, as opposed to the blunt, shiney, pornmag-like tones which are so popular now :) Great stuff!

Nope, this one is made in a photostudio. :) Studio flash with a big softbox high in front of the model and foamboard around the model (as reflectors).

Oh, thanks. May I ask... how many flashes were used? I'm thinking of dipping into flash photography even more this year :)

Just one. In front of the model, slightly from above. Simplicity is key ;)
Of course you could easily do this with strobist too.

I still have to find a way to make my speedlight work when separated from the camera though... (I've got a cheap slave trigger, but it doesn't work properly) :(

Ohhh, I see. The result is pretty cool bro! I'm looking for a cheap trigger... Pocketwizards are too expensive for me.
